Tällä Master Class -luennolla pääset tutustumaan Gusbourne 51 Degrees North 2014 -kuohuviiniin, joka on arvokkain englantilainen Prestige Cuvée -kuohuviini. Duncan opastaa sinut Single Vineyard Cuvée -kuohuviinien saloihin, ja matkaatte yhdessä Kentin ja Sussexin viinitarhoille ja näiden poikkeukselliseen terroiriin. Näitä kuohuviinejä tuotetaan erittäin pieni määrä, eikä tällä hetkellä ole muuten saatavilla Suomessa.

Tule tutustumaan Gusbournen englantilaisiin kuohuviineihin heidän myyntijohtajansa Duncan Brownin johdolla. Duncan perehdyttää osallistujat Gusbournen upeisiin kuohuviineihin ja maistattaa mm. heidän palstakuohuviinejään.
”Poikkeuksellinen viinin valmistaminen vaatii käsityötä, luonnon kunnioittamista ja tinkimätöntä huomiota yksityiskohtiin.” Näin vuonna 2004 perustetun Gusbournen tilan perustaja, Andrew Weeber, kuvailee tilan periaatteita. Gusbourne sijaitsee Kaakkois-Englannin Kentissä, missä tilalla on 32 hehtaaria viinitarhoja. Tilalla on myös 61 hehtaaria tarhoja Länsi-Sussexin alueella. Gusbourne viljelee Burgundyn rypäleiden klooneja, joista he valmistavat huippulaadukkaita, vuosikerrallisia kuohuviinejä ja still-viinejä. Tilan viinit valmistetaan taidolla ja pieteetillä, joista jokainen vuosikerta kertoo omaa tarinaansa.

To help explain this, Duncan will take you through some exceptional single vineyard cuvees from Kent and Sussex (which are not otherwise available in Finland), highlighting our growing understanding of different terroirs in England.

Duncan introduces the participants to Gusbourne’s wonderful sparkling wines and tastes e.g. and ice cream sparkling wine.
”Making exceptional wine requires craftsmanship, respect for nature and uncompromising attention to detail.” The founder of this 2004 Gusbourne farm, Andrew Weeber, describes the farm in 2004 as empty. Gusbourne is located in Kent, South East England, where the farm has 32 hectares of vineyards. The farm also has 61 acres of paddocks in the West Sussex area. Gusbourne cultivates clones of Burgundy grapes, he produces top-quality, vintage sparkling wines and still wines. The farm’s wines are made with skill and piety, and finally the vintage tells its own story.
