Tänä päivänä Masi lukeutuu johtaviin Amaronen tuottajiin. Masin tarina alkaa vuonna 1772, jolloin Boscainin perhe teki ensimmäisen sadonkorjuunsa arvostetuilla viinitarhoilla "Vajo dei Masissa", laaksossa Valpolicella Classican alueen sydämessä.
"I was born in Valpolicella Classica and the land of Amarone is my land. You need to have been born here, in these hills, to a family of winemakers, and you need to have lived in a typical house of the area to understand what Amarone represents: more than a technique, more than a wine, it is a philosophy, an art, and even more, an important companion in life.”
Näin kuvailee Masin pääjohtaja Sandro Boscaini, hänen suhdettaan Valpolicellaan ja tähän ikoniseen italialaiseen viiniin.
Tällä Master Class -luennolla Giacomo Boscaini perehdyttää meidät Amarone della Valpolicella Classicoon, sen valmistuksen taiteesta ja pitkäikäisyydestä. Hän esittelee kolme klassista Amarone-viiniä perheeltään: Single Vineyard -viinit Amarone Mazzano ja Campolongo di Torbe sekä klassisen Amarone della Valpolicella, Serego Alighieri Vaio Armaron -viinin. Kaikista viineistä pääsee maistamaan tuoreempaa sekä hieman ikääntyneempää vuosikertaa.
Masin vientijohtaja Giacomo Boscaini edustaa seitsemättä sukupolvea Masin perheyrityksessä.

Today, Masi is one of the leading producers of Amarone. The story of Masi begins in 1772, when the Boscain family made their first harvest in the prestigious vineyards of "Vajo dei Mas", a valley in the heart of the Valpolicella Classica region. After more than 200 years of passionate winemaking, the company is still in family hands with the sixth, seventh and eighth generations running it. Over the years, the winery has grown into an international success, an ambassador for Veneto in northern Italy and one of the most iconic producers of Amarone wines. Masi has developed two production methods that are very familiar to us Finns, the appassimento and ripasso methods. These production methods have since become known to all wine lovers as unshakable parts of Northern Italian winemaking and have been the basis of the popular and valued Amarone wines.
This is how Masi's CEO Sandro Boscaini describes his relationship with Valpolicella and this iconic Italian wine.
In this Master Class lecture, Giacomo Boscaini introduces us to Amarone della Valpolicella Classico, the art of its production and its longevity. He presents three classic Amarone wines from his family: Single Vineyard wines Amarone Mazzano and Campolongo di Torbe and the classic Amarone della Valpolicella, Serego Alighieri Vaio Armaron. You can taste fresher and slightly older vintages of all wines.
Masi's export director Giacomo Boscaini represents the seventh generation in the Masi family business.
