What

GRAND VIN HELSINKI 2025 – WINE AND DELICACIES

Grand Vin Helsinki is a wine event that brings together a selection of quality wines from around the world. What the wines have in common is that they show and taste the characteristics of each region and are produced with professionalism, experience and passion.

We are introduced to the secrets of wine by winemakers and winegrowers from all over the world, who share and taste their wines in the beautiful hall of the Old Student House. You can also expand your wine knowledge by attending Master Class lectures. The Master Class lectures will delve deeper into one producer or a specific theme, both by foreign winemakers and producers, but also by a few local wine experts.

There are a limited number of places available for the Master Class lectures and you can buy tickets in advance from the ceestashop.fi online shop while purchasing an admission ticket for yourself and your friends. More information about the lectures can be found in the Master Classes section of the event website. All Master Class lectures will be held on the Lehmann Glass Hommage 45cl tasting glass.

Held at the Old Student House, the relaxed and atmospheric event will allow you to taste some of the best known wine classics as well as some rarer delicacies. Alongside these, the event will offer wine-pairing snacks in the form of small tastings.

Come alone, with friends or family, as a couple or in a group. We welcome everyone to visit the event!

Contact us if you would like a Master Class lecture tailored to your group or corporate group.

Accessibility

We want to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to participate in our event and that we take into account the diverse needs of our guests. We are training our staff to be more aware of accessibility issues and aim to communicate about accessibility as clearly as possible.

The Old Student House (Vanha Ylioppilastalo) is a historic and protected building that does not have modern elevators or other accessibility solutions. For this reason, we are not always able to guarantee full accessibility in all areas of the venue. However, we do our best to take these factors into consideration.

If you have specific accessibility needs, please let us know in advance so that we can coordinate with the Old Student House staff to accommodate your requirements. For more information about accessibility or temporary accessibility arrangements, please contact ceesta@ceesta.com. Don’t hesitate to reach out if you can’t find the information you need or would like to confirm any details.

Accessible Arrival

The accessible entrance to the Old Student House is located on the Kaivopiha side.
If you would like to use the accessible entrance, please call 050 592 3294 during the event or ask your assistant to contact the personnel for assistance.

Assistants

Personal assistants and interpreters are welcome to attend the event free of charge when accompanying a paying guest. However, assistants and interpreters will need their own separate tickets, so please contact us at ceesta@ceesta.com if you plan to attend the event with an assistant or interpreter.

Venue

Our event takes place on two levels. The main tasting area is in the Grand Hall (Juhlasali), which is accessible. However, please note that the space can become crowded during the event, which may make movement more difficult. Some exhibitor stands are located on the stage of the Grand Hall, which is not fully accessible. We are happy to assist with movement to and from the stage as needed — please inform event staff if you require assistance.

The Master Class sessions are held on the second floor, which is not fully accessible. Accessible access to the second floor is with an elevator through a service corridor located behind the restaurant area, which is only accessible with staff assistance.
During the event, we are happy to arrange access to and from the Master Class sessions according to your needs. Please inform event staff during the event or in advance.

An assistant or companion may join a participant with accessibility needs for the Master Class session. The assisted participant must hold a valid Master Class ticket. Assistants will not be served tasting portions during the session unless they have their own ticket.

Restrooms

An accessible restroom is located on the first floor, in the Café Vanha area, near the accessible entrance. Holders of the restroom pass (vessapassi) are also welcome to use the accessible facilities.

Accessibility Notes

Please note that Grand Vin Helsinki is not a fully accessible event.

  • The event can be crowded at times, which may cause queues or waiting.
  • Some areas of the venue are not accessible without staff assistance.
  • Entry and exit through the accessible entrance occur via a separate doorway, which is not open continuously. Please contact us in advance or during the event if you need access.
  • Noise levels may increase due to the crowd.
  • Bringing guide dogs to the event is not recommended.
  • We strive to promote inclusion and diverse participation, but we are unable to guarantee personalized accessibility services for every individual.

We will do our very best to make our event welcoming and enjoyable for everyone.
