Kuvaus
Torii Morin viinitila aloitti tuotantonsa nykymuodossa 1985. Willamette Valleyn alueen rikas ja monipuolinen maaperä yhdessä viileän Tyynen Valta- meren ilmaston kanssa antavat viineille ainutlaatuisen luonteen. Jacques Tardy, chef de cave melkein 20 vuotta joka vetäytyi eläkkeelle viime, on tuottanut hillityn elegantteja, maaperän aromeja korostavia, klassisia viinejä. Burgundilainen osaamisen perintö näkyy ja maistuu parhaimmillaan rikkaissa Pinot Noir -aromeissa. Nykyisin viinintekoa jatkaa samoilla linjoilla Jon Tomacelli.
Torii Mor -nimi viittaa japanilaiseen puutarhaan, joka sijaitsi alunperin vii- nitilan alueella. Olson Estate viljelmät ovat Live- ja Salmon safe -sertifioituja.
The winery started its current operations in 1985. The rich and complex soils of Willamette Valley area combined with the cool Pacific climate, create a unique character to these wines. Jacques Tardy, the previous head winemaker of 20-years who retired last year, focused on elegant classic style products that express the terroir. His Burgundian heritage is visible and delivers at best with his lush Pinot Noirs. The current head winemaker, Jon tomacelli continues producing wines with the same tradition.
The name Torii Mor refers to the original Japanese garden found on the vineyard estate. The Olson Vineyard is Live and Salmon safe certified.
