Château Maucamps is located in Haut-Médoc, in the picturesque village of Macau. This over 22-hectare vineyard’s soil is composed of gravel and clay from the nearby Garonne River. Its perfect location near the riverbank provides the vineyard with a unique microclimate, also benefiting the neighboring esteemed cru estates. The grapes grown on the estate produce classic red wines that are full-bodied, with relatively soft tannins. Although Château Maucamps’ powerful red wines show their potential even when young, aging brings a whole new dimension to their flavor profile as the tannins soften and the taste evolves.
